Do you feel like the errands you go about every single day are churning the blood in your body? Every day feels like the death of you and the rise of more tick boxes on that to-do list. In the hustle-bustle of life, you start feeling so restless that maybe you've just signed off your "personal" space for your profession.
Here's a catalogue of my personal favourite apps curated just for you!
Insight Timer
Insight Timer is the free meditation app the world has been searching for. An absolute life-saver. When you feel like the world is starting to treat you like a lifeless piece sh*t, there's no better time for you to become spiritual. Insight Timer has the "minimalistic design", that I absolutely adore combined with the best set of meditation audio guides. So whether it's just a sleepless night or day you want to get things done, Insight Timer is the solution. This app has in-app purchases that are unnecessary and don't hinder the actual usage of the app and is completely ad-free.
[Sidenote: A little clarity in the world through Headspace costs money. So, for those of us out there who still use Headspace, I'd just like to say the end of the free 10 days is not the end of the world. ]
Habitica: Gamify Your Tasks
When that to-do list of yours, extends to a different realm and you aren't even pumped enough to get anything done... maybe you need to "gamify" your life. Habitica is the one app more than half a million users look up to get organized and motivated. Pixelated graphics and old-school fun, is what keeps this app up to the minute. Keeping track of your hectic life is now as easy as squeezing lemons.
Atmosphere: Relaxing Sounds
Ever needed to completely put in 210% of your concentration into something but the noise outside is just driving you crazy. This app is the definite answer to that problem. Atmosphere offers a variety of relaxing tunes from kids at a park to crickets and shower noises. Apart from that, it offers high-quality binaural and isochronic beats as well. It is a well-designed app and a must download.
Tide: Stay focused, be peaceful
The Pomodoro technique has taken the world by storm. But, most of these apps turn out to be a kitschy mess full of advertisements sucking out your time. Tide is an elegant app with an irresistible UI. It also has an 'immersive-mode' for those of us who'd like to put aside our social lives on our phones while getting our work done.
Loop Habit
If your days look like getting up running through a loop of events, Loop Habit has got your back. Loop Habit is a to-do list for the everyday set of tasks. It's open source and has a pretty clean design. This app shoots out notifications that don't swipe out until they are done. It also features intelligible graphs showing you your success rate every month.
Lose Weight in 30 Days
For a lot of us lazy butts out there, exercising always pastes a frown on our faces. But trust me on this one, exercising definitely boosts your productivity by at least 10%. Lose Weight in 30 Days definitely works if your trying to lose weight, but if you're like me and just wants to get a daily dose of crunches and squats then this app is gold. It is technically ad-free like most of the apps I promote but the entire process of simple 15-minute exercising resonates with my body.
Lumosity
Just like physical health boosts your performance, I believe mental health is just as important. Lumosity is an app equipped with games designed by scientists to boost your mental performance with every time you play. Unfortunately, this app is not completely free but everyday there are about 3 games that are free to play. It also shows how much you've improved with daily usage of the app. The app is designed pretty well on the whole and definitely aims to challenge its user a lot.
